Ruby Tuesday Restaurant
Frequent Asked Questions
The FDA regulation defines the term “fresh” when it is used to suggest that a food is raw or unprocessed. In this context, "fresh" can be used only on a food that is raw, has never been frozen or heated, and contains no preservatives.

Our vegetable and fruit suppliers grow and harvest their products with great care and devotion in order to provide the finest quality produce. After harvesting, it is gently washed before being shipped to our restaurants twice each week. At Ruby Tuesday, we do not add any preservatives to our produce or Fresh Garden Bar.
Our all-natural chicken breasts are fresh, never frozen. “Natural” means the product cannot contain any artificial flavor or flavoring, coloring ingredient, chemical preservative, or any other artificial or synthetic ingredient; and the product and its ingredients are only minimally processed.
Our salmon, tilapia and shrimp are farm raised by suppliers that have a deep commitment to environmental sustainability in all aspects of their operations.
We stand proud to deliver on our Brand Promise of providing the highest-quality of food!

MSG occurs naturally in many foods, so we cannot guarantee any of our products to be "MSG free". Some of our prepared products may contain added MSG, such as the Ranch or Light Ranch dressings, cheese sticks, breaded shrimp, or the rice pilaf. To be on the safe side, we suggest that you order something like our fresh chicken breast (100% natural chicken), our grilled burger patty (100% choice hamburger) or one of our grilled steaks without Ruby Tuesday seasoning as it contains glutamate. All of the fresh vegetables and fruits on our Fresh Garden Bar are 'as harvested' and contain no added MSG.

Download the nutritional values for the current menu items
Please note that we do not provide the nutritional information for items on our Fresh Garden Bar given that we cannot control the portion size
**All menu items are sent to an independent laboratory for wet-chemical analysis which is much more accurate than the approximations listed in the USDA database. The USDA database does not reflect the grade of the meat, which drastically affects the interior marbling of the fat. A prime steak will have more interior fat than a select grade of meat. Since this fat is interior to the meat and cannot not be cut off. The USDA uses and average of the different grades. Please also remember that our 7 oz. sirloin is 7 oz. in weight BEFORE COOKING just as all food service protein listings are "weight before cooking" therefore our 7 oz. sirloin is 7 oz. in the raw state. According to the doneness you select, the weight of the finished product can vary. For analysis purposes, we cook to medium doneness which is the most requested temperature. An average medium-doneness sirloin is just over 5 oz. finished weight. (The USDA database is based on cooked weight.) Because we have lab analysis performed on all menu items using our products and cooking methods, we stand behind our nutritional values and feel they are much accurate than approximations of averages**

While most of your favorites have been on our menu for years (handcrafted burgers, the Fresh Garden Bar, sirloin steaks, New Orleans Seafood, fried shrimp, baby-back ribs, and more), we are constantly listening to what our fans tell us they like and adding choices and unique flavors that satisfy your cravings for something new and delicious. Sometimes when we add new choices, we take away an item or two to make room for the next new hit!

We placed these calculations on the check only as a convenience to our guests. Generally, each individual guest uses a different methodology for calculating a server's tip which can include applying a percentage to the total of the bill either before or after taxes. Because of the different methods, we try to specify directly above the calculations which method we used. We want our guests to tip as they see fit based on their experience, and it is not our intention to insinuate anything different.

Ruby Tuesday donates 10 percent of the sales of our gourmet cookies to America's Second Harvest Food Banks across the country to help fight hunger. The donations go to the local communities where the cookies are sold, so they benefit hungry kids, families, and the elderly who are our neighbors. For every dollar raised for Second Harvest, 16 meals are provided to those in need. Since Cookies for a Cause began, Ruby Tuesday has provided more than 1,000,000 meals. For more information, visit our web site or go to: http://secondharvest.org
